A great class for hobby bakers and beginners who want to improve their cake covering skills! In this one day class using an 8” round sponge cake, I will teach you how to slice, fill and level your cakes. I will then show you how to ganache your filled cake, followed by covering it in fondant and achieving a flawless finish and sharp edges. I will also show you how to cover a board in icing and ribbon to place the cake on.
All edibles and equipment are provided and you can take your finished cake home with you. The fondant provided will be white but I will provide a selection of dyes so you may knead a colour into your icing if you wish to make a coloured cake. A delicious lunch is also provided so you don’t need to bring anything but yourself!
